LATEST NEWS - Now Steam-hauled from Crewe giving an extra 51 miles with 6201!

Following the much acclaimed Christmas 2009 Thames-Dee excursion with 6201 Princess Elizabeth, many of you have asked for a longer run with this splendid and much-loved 'old lady' of the LMS.

The trip includes some hopefully fast steam running in both directions on the West Coast Main Line, the little-used line from Carnforth to Hellifield (via the 'other' Clapham!)and the Aire Valley Line into Leeds, then back across the Pennines through Hebden Bridge and Manchester, rounded off by another run on the WCML from Newton-le-Willows to Crewe.

A Class 90 electric takes us from London to Crewe where 6201 Princess Elizabeth takes over. The steam route is: Crewe, WCML, Carnforth, Clapham, Hellifield, Skipton, Leeds Engine Shed Junction, Normanton, Healey Mills, Hebden Bridge, Todmorden, Manchester Victoria, Newton-le-Willows, Winwick Junction, WCML, Crewe. We expect the water stops to be at Giggleswick and at Brighouse - but this could change

First Class Dining and Parlour is available from London, Watford, Milton Keynes or Rugby only.
