The programme features an eclectic mix of destinations and routes. Visit historic towns and cities and award-winning tourist attractions or enjoy our connecting coach tours and cruises by boat. Gaze from the window at the wonderful countryside as we explore scenic rail routes or lines which lost their regular passenger trains many decades ago.
To dispel a popular myth, you don’t need to be a railway enthusiast to travel on our trains and indeed the majority of our customers are not. Most can be described as ‘general interest’ travellers and come with their partners, friends or business colleagues. We do of course welcome the responsible enthusiast and there will always be some trips in the programme aimed primarily at that market.
Nearly all our trains offer keenly-priced Standard Class carriages, with a licensed buffet car offering a counter service of hot and cold drinks and light refreshments. Alternatively, to make your trip really special, choose First Class Dining with your meals freshly cooked on board by our elite team of chefs and served at your First Class seats by our Chief Steward and his attentive team.
Unless otherwise stated in the individual tour information, our trains will be hauled by diesel or electric locomotives and will consist of traditional coaching stock.
Our trips often become full several weeks before they run, so early booking is very much to be recommended.
