Good morning to everyone
My partner and I went on The BlueBell Railway tour yesterday. It was a fabulous day and we wanted to send a big thank you to all those involved. You have a fantastic team who deliver superb customer service and amazing chefs (all the food was scrumptious!). Neither of us know how you manage to organize these wonderful trips and keep going all day – you’re all very much appreciated!
We hope you all got home safely at the end of the day and thank you again for everything.
With very best wishes
David & Paula

Just to say thanks very much for the Bluebell Railway trip. The four of us thought the food on the train was of a really good quality and the staff were excellent.
Thanks again and we wouldn’t hesitate to join another of your trips in the future.

We would like to thank you for the excellent vegetarian moussaka you prepared for the railtour last Saturday, we do appreciate the efforts you have gone to.
I should also say what a pleasure it is to be served by your staff – alway friendly and eager to please. We are looking forward to our next trip with you all in June.

Thank you for you and your teams excellent service on the Manchester Christmas Markets tour. Me and Tom had a wonderful time racing up the country in absolute luxury.
The food was absolutely stunning and perfect leaving us satisfied and full. But we were more satisfied with dinner, it blew us away everything was delicious. Everyone was friendly and loved a laugh even in when they was just passing by.
We shall be booking a new tour in the new year hopefully.
Many, Many Thanks

We write to thank you for the superb Anglian Angel trip that you and your team arranged last Saturday. From the time we joined at Finsbury Park and leaving at Stratford the whole day was a great experience, including the ease of booking by phoning your office.
We travelled first class dining and the food and service was excellent. Whilst writing we would like to compliment Joel who was our waiter for most of the trip. His service was exceptional, as was his friendly manner. Nothing was too much trouble and if you have a moment perhaps you could compliment the catering company on his service. He was a credit to UK Railtours and of course your catering company. His brilliant service was one of the things that made the day a real treat for us.
We hope to join UK Railtours for another trip in the not too distant future.
Regards and thanks.

Dear Liz, Simon and team,
Thank you for the fantastic trip to Exeter last weekend. Both of us really enjoyed the trip. The food in dinning was superb. The stewarding team really looked after us.
Please pass on our thanks to the whole team to at Uk railtours.

…and thank you for a truly outstanding tour yesterday, what we did in the Parkeston area was definitely in the ‘we never thought we would ever do that category’. I was particularly impressed how changing the first reversal from P1 to P2 at Harwich International enabled all three crossovers between the Down Harwich and Up Harwich to be done not just two.
There were also numerous other fascinating bits and pieces, some for my first time in over 50 years of railtouring (first was one December 1972).
I actually think it was your best ever tour to date (if you don’t mind me saying) in terms of rarity of the track, what was done and just how much.
I have to say that the food in Dining was also very plentiful and enjoyable – kept me going on what was a 23-hour expedition from home. It was also good to be in Coach ‘A’ for certain sections of the route (and the two times the other end of the train was necessary didn’t clash with any food service)!
Please keep up the great work…..
Paul.

I would like to congratulate all the staff at Uk Railtours for a fantastic railtour to Norwich.
The onboard staff were so professional and helpful.
I am sure that there were a few disappointed track bashers as the tour went beyond expectation.
Sometimes I travel with another tour operator but living in Kent Uk Railtours is better for me as a lot of the tours start in London.
Uk Railtours knock the spots off the other operator. Most of their tours do not cover what they intend to do on the day and are often late back to their destination stations.
Well done again to all the staff at Uk Railtours. Very professional and well worth the money.
I will look forward to the next track bash.

Hello Liz
As a passenger on this train I should like to commend you and your team for a fascinating and super tour with the Hastings diesel unit. The fact that the train ran to schedule on such a complicated itinerary is a great credit to the train planners. As a former railwayman in that department I can appreciate the great amount of work which must have gone into making it all work so well.
Kind regards

Dear Simon
I write to congratulate you on the speed and efficiency with which you all showed to organise Farnborough (UK Railtours note – this was after a missed stop at Basingstoke). I had visions of having to travel up to London and then Paddington – Bristol (our home) on the last train or even missing it altogether!
Very well done. Take a bow!!

Dear Simon
The Platinum Jubilee Railtour
On behalf of the Company, may i thank you for your assistance in accomodating our party on the railtour yesterday. Without exception, everyone participating had a good time and were very complimentary about arrangements, presentation of the train and service on board.
For many in our party, it was their first experience of railtour travel but, such was their enjoyment, I expect that you will be seeing many of them returning with their own bookings in the future.
City Livery functions reguarly feature ‘fine dining’ but we rarely see silver service, so that in itself was a pleasant surprise for our guests with friendly and attentive staff delighting everyone – please ensure that your caterers receive our appreciative thanks.
As you know, the purpose of the trip for us was to visit The Stained Glass Museum so we were glad to take advantage of this special opportunity to arrive in a style which we could not possibly have arranged ourselves – it was mutually beneficial collaboration and I thank you for making this visit such a successful part of our Platinum Jubill celebrations.

Hi UK Railtours,
We want to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed Saturday’s Welsh Marches tour.
Excellent timekeeping throughout, comfortable carriage, magnificent staff and the food as ever first class.
The brochure provided interesting information and the map and mileage tables were appreciated.
We hope to join you again before too long for another great day out.
Best wishes and thanks to all involved,
Malcolm & Christine

Hi UK Railtour Team
I should have written before – but THANK YOU for the wonderful day out you gave us from Derby to Dungeness on the Dr Syn, 30th October.
We had looked forward to this trip for so long, having had it postponed twice due to covid restrictions.
You did a marvellous job. We found it so interesting, enjoying the freight lines but also the route the train took round London. It took in places where we had lived in North London, and where I was born in the South East! In First Class Dining the catering was brilliant, ample food but not too rich, served by great staff.
But all in all it was most enjoyable, and you are to be applauded after all you have gone through over the past two years. Please thank everyone concerned.
Blessings

I feel I just have to drop you a quick line to say a very hearty thankyou and to praise everybody involved with the Hampshire Pullman on Saturday.
Working in the rail industry for a great many years, the effort needed at short notice to resolve the routing issued which so unfortunately prevented running on the original route is certainly not lost upon myself, so firstly a big well done to all concerned for overcoming these. The revised route was most enjoyable and featured some fine scenery.
On the day itself our party of four enjoyed the most wonderful day from start to finish. Sitting in our own coupe in “Vera” we were treated to excellent service throughout, which commenced even before we had boarded, and lasted right through until we alighted just over six hours later.
One of our number had a variety of food allergies and this was handled in a first class way. With the chef having reviewed the potential issues, the on train staff then explained everything in a well thought out way as to what would and wouldn’t be agreeable to eat, and where necessary what alternative had been supplied, which helped ensure everybody enjoyed the dining experience to the full.
The stock, as expected, was truly amazing and immaculate, as of course was Clan Line, the loco performance matching its appearance. The route was ideal on the day with some fine scenery but also had some challenges, these being expertly handled by the crew too whilst allowing those of us onboard to enjoy the power and might of a Merchant Navy in good voice.
I would be grateful if you could pass on our appreciation to all those involved in the running of the train, both before and on the day, and for providing us all with a most memorable experience.
We look forward to travelling again with you at some point, but until then wish you all the very best.
Kind Regards
A. Matthews

I just want to express my gratitude for a truly exceptional railtour on Saturday. It was a long time coming due to the pandemic but it was definitely well worth waiting for. The detailed planning and preparation, both before and on the day, shows how a railtour can be successful unlike some of the recent disasters I have had the misfortune to be a passenger on recently.
I spoke to many many friends and acquaintances, all who were thrilled to bits about the tour as I was.
Again, many thanks to all at UK Railtours and of course Ian Loveday for a superb day.
Yours sincerely ,

Very best wishes.

Thank you…
On Saturday 30th October 2021 we were a party of 4 travelling in First Class Dining on the Dr Syn tour to Dungeness from Leicester.
We would like to say a big thank you to all of the team, from Engineering to Catering, and the commentary ensured the unusual routes we travelled on were not missed out during the day.
Everyone worked very hard to ensure we had a very interesting and enjoyable time.
Thank you again,

Just to say thank you for another most enjoyable trip to the Severn Valley Railway last Saturday. Also our special mention for the catering team, who always provide me with a gluten free diet. It is so reassuring to know that I can enjoy a day out and know that I can eat safely!

I just wanted to say a very big thank-you to you and your team, for making our Snowdonian Panorama trip on the 12th such an enjoyable and memorable day. In particular for all of the assistance and organisation provided by Tim and the other stewards throughout the whole trip, and going above and beyond to help with my mother in her wheelchair. Despite its length, my mother greatly enjoyed her day out.

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the trip to Beamish at the weekend. It couldn’t have been better. I think that we even got back to Potters Bar early!!!! We really enjoy our trips to Beamish and this was our third. This was the best so far not only due to the fantastic weather but also because of the ‘Dig for Victory’ event. If it wasn’t for your wonderful, well organised, trips then we wouldn’t be able to visit these places as there are just too far away. We would like to thank all the staff and crew for making this another fantastic trip and would certainly book again for Beamish. Will be booking our seats to Lincoln Christmas Market tonight. Keep up the good work.

A big thank you to everyone at UK Railtours for organizing the trip to Warminster and Imber last Saturday. Imber had been on our ‘to do’ list for many years, so it was a relief to finally get there, We did not manage to get to Chitterne or Tilshead, but did get to all the other destinations. All in all, a great day out and we hope there will be a repeat trip next year.

I just wanted to drop you a line to say a very big thank you for such a great day on Sunday 18th August.
My family and I were booked on the 4th Swanage Sunday Special which happened to be our first ever charter trip and it was such a fantastic day out.
We didn’t know what quite to expect but it was just a terrific day and a real pleasure to be hauled by a Class 33 and the carriages which were extremely comfortable. We smiled all the way to Swanage and all the way back.
Our 15 year old son is a major rail enthusiast and the memory is really going to stick with him as well as his younger brother. We spend many weekends driving to various locations for him to record trains, many charters included, so to actually ride on a charter has been a completely different experience.
I would also like to thank the driver who took us to Swanage for very kindly letting my two lads and myself step inside the cab. An added, unexpected bonus. Of course all the other staff members did a sterling job as well so thanks to them all for making the day special.
Thanks again and we’ll definitely be booking up again when the funds allow.

Just to let you know how much I enjoyed the Atlantic Coast Express steam trip last Saturday.
Some fantastic running on this trip, especially from Yeovil Junction to Exeter, where service train situations allowed us to run Non Stop. A most unusual event on this mainly single track route.
The return trip via Bristol and Westbury was of a equally outstanding performance by Clan Line and its Crew.
Well done UK Railtours and everybody involved in this steam train trip.

Congratulations on a splendidly executed “pure steam” tour on Aug 10- Atlantic Coast express. Many thanks to your staff & for superb planning of tour, you are in a league of your own compared to other operators who so often include diesels in their “Steam tours”. Many thanks for a truly memorable day.

Thanks to all involved for another great day out on the Amber Valley Venturer last Saturday.
Special thanks to the members of staff who allowed 4 of us to join the empty train at Butterley on the other platform, otherwise we would have missed the return.

Many thanks to all the team for the excellent trip to Beverley Minster on Saturday.
The town was interesting, if cold, and the Carol Concert was brilliant. It was a most enjoyable way to celebrate my birthday with friends. I found the menu really varied with the delicious alternatives to the regular fare. Please thank the catering team, both seen and unseen, for the superb food and service.
Thanks again, and Season’s Greetings to you all.

What a day we had. Even though it was an early start and very late back home it was worth it.
We had the update for the river cruise and steam train. And a very good choice.
The food especially the dinner was the best we have had since being with yourselves, The Catering Staff made sure that we were well looked after.
Thank you all for such a lovely day especially as the 15th was our wedding anniversary.

I was on the trip from Kings cross to Newcastle last Saturday and just wished to say that it was a very enjoyable experience and will certainly do another steam trip next year when possible.
The other reason for writing this is the extremely good service and the excellent food provided and I was not the only one on the train who was very complimentary about the food. one or two saying it was the best they had.
Please pass on my thanks to the catering staff and look forward to travelling with you again.
P.S My first ride behind an A4 and was not disappointed with the run !!

Our thanks to all the team, including chefs and all train crew for an excellent day on the Torbay Flyer. The friendliness and service was superb, the organisation and preparation of the whole day was excellent. The breakfast and dinner was delicious (we don’t know how the chefs prepare and cook to such a high standard!). In short, it was one of the happiest days we’ve ever had. Thank you all again.

I had the pleasure of joining your trip on the Sat 7th April to Beamish. I boarded the train at Peterborough Station to find that adjacent to my reserved seat that unfortunately a fellow passenger had taken very ill and had to be taken off the train and await for emergency services to assist.
I was (along with other passengers) most impressed by the professional and caring concerns of your staff and in particular the member of staff that actually got this man safely off the train without any undue fuss (sorry I didn’t get the name of your staff member but he will know who he is !!). He managed to overcome what was a very difficult situation with respect and compassion and he needs to be congratulated by your company. Overall, I found that all your train staff performed their duties extremely well they were well dressed, clean and professional looking and constantly keeping all the coaches clean and tidy etc etc. Please pass on my appreciation for all their hard work in making a great day at Beamish (apart from the weather !!).
I look forward to my next trip with UK Railtours

Dear UK Railtours team,
I was a participant in your excellent ‘Missing Link’ railtour last Saturday.
I am writing to congratulate all involved in arranging and delivering this tour to rural North Bucks via a challenging and most interesting route devised with Network Rail and EWS.
Despite the weather the timings were kept really well and the detail worked just as planned by the train planners at Network Rail. It was a most enjoyable day out to some interesting and little visited places along the way. It was good also to be able to spend some layover time at Quainton Road, always a good place to visit.
Thank you again for a great journey and day out.

I travelled on the Clan Line Rail Tour yesterday and just wanted to thank you for a very enjoyable day.
It was great to have pleasant non-intrusive stewards, clean comfortable stock which had been marshalled with the enthusiasts in standard class nearest to the loco.
The route was one that I know well, but the crews gave us a very entertaining trip with speed on the sections where it was appropriate, and a good exhibition of hill climbing on the banks of the Portsmouth Direct line.
All staff are to be complemented. Thank you.

I have just returned from your Rose of the Shire Northern Belle excursion. I just wanted to comment that the trip was a wonderful day out. The food and service was excellent and the route also provided a great backdrop to our Christmas dinner. The entertainment on board was a welcome surprise making the trip even more special. I also feel that the trip was very good value for money, I have travelled on a Northern Belle trip to the South Devon railway with you before and I hope to travel again later next year.

Just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful trip to Durham on the Northern Belle on Saturday. It was a superb day . The train was beautifully decorated for Christmas and as usual the service and food was exceptional! The carol service in the cathedral was a great start to the festive season .
Thank you again for another brilliant experience and see you next year!
Best wishes to you all for Christmas and the new year.

My wife and I booked on your trip to Durham on 2nd December and what a great trip it was. The organisation was very good. The quality of the staff during the journey was very professional with just a hint of humour for the guests.
As for the food – wow!! It is amazing how food of such quality can be prepared on a moving train in carriages of such age. Our thanks and congratulations on a job well done. We will look forward to our next trip.

Just wanted to say thanks for a great tour on Saturday!
The shorter tour timing was absolutely perfect.
The standard class coaches were at the front, so we could hear Clan Line perfectly. No diesel assistance after Stewarts Lane.
The coach was clean and had new upholstery.
Your on train booklet was very good, as usual.Just wish to convey my sincere Thanks to all Staff at UK Railtours, MNPLS staff, Riviera Trains and Network Rail who worked so well together to create such a superb circular tour with an immaculate 35028 Clan Line.

November ’17
It was the best Birthday present ever and I had a brilliant time.
Spoke to one of the drivers, Wayne Thomson, who lives in our village and is a personal friend, at the Grately water stop. The wet rails due to the drizzle caused traction problems on the stretch from Woking to Worting Junction. But later I recorded speeds in the mid 70’s for long stretches and with 13 coaches on that was great.
Met some of your dedicated staff – John who joined the train at Woking like me, and Dave who knew my fellow passenger Nick, who drives the electric trains and was so knowledgeable and very interesting to talk to.
Bought my lunch from the Buffet car staff member and Paul was very helpful.
The final water stop at Basingstoke was interesting to see all the bags of coal being loaded by the volunteers. And the train crew allowed many children to sit in the cab and have their photos taken. Great PR for the steam movements future.
This was my first trip with UK Railtours, but won’t be the last. Am thinking of now booking a seat on the trip for 10th February 2018 to get my steam trips off to a great start for next year.
Thank You to All your staff for a brilliant day out.

Thank you all for the great time we had on the Snowdonian in September/October. Philip & I really enjoyed the whole thing, in spite of the inclement weather. The whole structure of the short holiday was superb, culminating in the fabulous gala lunch on the return home on The Northern Belle. All of the UK Railtours team at the event were really superb, as were the kind, friendly and very professional staff on the Northern Belle.

Just a brief note to say thank you so very much for a fantastic day out yesterday on the Golden Arrow – we had a fantastic day and could not have been better looked after by your own people, those from the Belmond Pullman and not forgetting the 35028 Clan Line team too.

I would just like to say that my family and I had a wonderful rail tour to Bath on the 26th August, the on board staff kept us amused and worked tirelessly to ensure that everything was perfect.
The comfortable MK 1 FO was a joy to travel in plus special mention must be made of the kitchen staff who provided the best breakfast that we have ever had on a train and also provided an evening meal the quality of which would not have been out of place on the Belmond Pullman.
Thanks to all concerned.

Hi, many thanks for my first experience on a UK Rail Tour last Saturday 18th of February, I travelled with a group of six from the Mid Hants Railway in deepest Hampshire. The whole day was fantastic from the drink flowed in great proportion, the service and food was very enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for your on board staff, apart from being 10 minutes late returning to Euston. But as a railway volunteer I understood this hic-up.
Hope to meet the Team again on another Rail Tour in the not too distant future.

I have been on many trains, in the UK and abroad and on many rail tours in the UK, often with first class dining. Our recent trip to the Grassington Dickensian Festival was by far and away the best trip I’ve ever been on. Great carriages (we were in the Bee themed Belvoir – named after the castle), truly lovely and attentive staff and great food. Yes it was pricey but it was worth every penny. We went on a UK Railtours chartered trip, so it was a little bit cheaper than going with Belmond directly. Grassington, in the Yorkshire Dales at Christmas is very welcoming and festive.

Thanks to all concerned with the Armada tour with the Belmond Northern Belle on Saturday 22/10/16.

Just a note to say how much my group of 4 enjoyed the Northern Belle trip to Edinburgh over the weekend.
We had set our expectations high but they were well exceeded. The whole weekend was expertly organised by Belmond and yourselves. The ambience of the train made the journey very relaxing. The efficiency and friendliness of the staff along with the quality of the food made it a very memorable experience for all of us (in a good way of course).
The Sheraton was excellent and the Tattoo was outstanding, The location of our seats could not have been better.
We enjoyed our visit to the Bo’ness Railway and the opportunity to spend some time in the Museum. On our return to Edinburgh we made good use of our free Tour Bus tickets which were much appreciated.

This is just a quick note to commend you on your trips. I have been on several of yours and on many with one of your competitors. You have two distinct advantages if I may say so.
Your catering is much quicker than that given by them (I usually travel on the Pullman) and secondly your Pullman carriages do appear to be the real thing whereas the competitor provide as their description says, Pullman Style carriages.

We were fortunate enough to travel with the UK Railtours once again, in association with Belmond British Pullman last Saturday, 14th May and had a wonderful day travelling to Minehead and return

We hope to be back travelling with UK Railtours in the near future

We just wanted to write to thank you for a fantastic day on 12th March.
It was pleasure, relaxation and enjoyment from the moment we boarded the train. We met some very nice people, enjoyed the train journey in very comfortable seats and were utterly impressed by the sheer efficiency and organisation of the entire thing. All the staff were courteous, efficient and extremely hard working. We all really appreciated the attention to detail, right down to the provision of bags for taking the floral table decorations home and the leaflets explaining the journey.
Many, many thanks once again. We look forward to our next trip with you.

Just to say how very much we enjoyed the trip. The running of ‘Tornado’ was most impressive. We were also most impressed by the care and organisation of UK Railtours, even getting the coach driver to play recordings of Elgar’s music on the trip to his birthplace.

We were on yesterday’s trip to Worcester. As ardent steam fans this was ‘just what the doctor ordered’; an all steam day, no diesel interference, beautiful scenery and a reasonable amount of time in Worcester. 60163’s performance was superb and Wendy being a covenanter had a large smile all day.
Thanks again for a lovely day and for keeping the day diesel free. I shall copy this over to the A1 guys as they worked so hard as well to make it all work.

I would like to again praise the excellent customer service provided by all the staff at UK Railtours. I always get speedy confirmation of my bookings. In addition, if I telephone you with a query, no matter how trivial it may be, it is always answered politely, efficiently and positively.
My wife and I have traveled with you for many years, even going back to the former Hertfordshire Railtours days, and still find you the best of all the train excursion operators that we deal with.
I look forward to celebrating my 70’th Birthday, which is later this year, on one of your Brighton Belle excursions!

We very much enjoyed our trip to Beverley on Saturday. We had never been there before and found it to be a delightful town with the added bonus of a spectacular Minster where the clergy were very welcoming and the choir excellent. Needless to say we must also thank you for the very generous 1st prize in your raffle.
We look forward to using this on a future trip.
Many thanks and a Merry Christmas to you all.

We just wanted to record our heartfelt thanks for this tour. The route was brilliant. The service was superb. The food was excellent. And you even managed to get the sun to shine. With apologies to ‘Ronseal’, one might say “You did MORE than it said on the tin”
And this was all before Operation Retrieve My Keys. Your team swung into action and my keys were safely delivered by train less than 24 hours later. An amazing achievement.
Thank you John. Thank you Liz. Thank you Team UKR.

Just a quick (slightly belated) thank you for the excellent IOW trip last Saturday. To my mind it was well planned, an excellent itinerary, and well managed by your staff. Cannot really credit you for the nice weather, but it was the best excursion I’ve done and the harbour trip was also very well done. A credit to you all!

Not an enquiry just a thank you for an excellent day on the Ticket to Ryde tour topped by winning a raffle prize on the return journey.
It amazes me how so much can be timed to the second on these tours and that hours must be spent organising them.
Again thank you and I look forward to finding myself on another one of your tours in the future.

Just a quick email to say what a fabulous time we had on the trip to Scotland. Right from the start we were looked after and all the staff, your own and the catering team were fantastic. The menus were well thought out and had a Scottish twist!! We are really tired today but have lots of great memories to talk about. We will certainly be travelling with you again. Many thanks for a great adventure.

I just wanted to say what a great day I had on Saturday and would like you to pass on my sincere thanks and congratulations on a well organised and thoughtful tour to you and everyone involved in making the day happen. It is one of the best if not the best Railtour I have been on. I am also grateful for the opportunity of going at short notice and am certainly glad i did take up the chance. Thank you also for selecting a good seat for me as I couldn’t have wished it better for a forward facing window seat for most of the trip.

I would like how much I enjoyed coming on the English Bulldog railtour on Saturday 09/05/2015, and visiting the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. As I have childhood connections with the Cheltenham area it was a particular pleasure to travel on the steam train to Cheltenham Racecourse. It was also a delight to see the beautifully reconstructed Winchcombe Station – it was worth going on the railtour just to see that! Certainly, the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway has come a long way from when I first visited the railway in 1985! It was then just a short length of track coming out of Toddington Station. Hopefully this railtour could be repeated sometime in the future, perhaps when the railway extends to Broadway. I hope to come on more trips with UK Railtours in the future, maybe to one to the Isle of Wight.

Hello All, Just to say a huge thank you for a fabulous trip to Scotland over the bank holiday. We have travelled with you since 1987, firstly when our own children were in their teens, and this time with our grandchildren. They were enthralled with the whole trip. Thank you for your wonderful efforts to bring Ellie”s school bag back to her side when she left it in the hotel, that service was beyond wonderful. Our grandson Alex has been ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and for the first time in many months he started to “sparkle” again and enjoy himself. We are now saving our pennies again ready for a day trip in your splendid company. Thank you again.

Good Afternoon, I would just like to say just how much my family and I enjoyed the Javelin rail tour on Saturday. The journey was smooth and exhilarating and the last high speed section seemed just as quick as Eurostar. South Eastern presented a professional smooth running operation with helpful staff and the Rail Gourmet service was faultless. The commentary was superb and well delivered with phenomenal detail, and for me made the trip and highlighted how rail travel has the ability to enable the traveler to journey through time and in some ways visit the past, which is made even more memorable on such a modern train. We are now looking forward to Chatsworth. Well done to all involved.

Good morning, I am writing to say how much I enjoyed ‘The Silver King’ excursion yesterday. Lovely train, a great day out, good food and I had a good look round The Engine House Visitor Centre at Highley Station. I would like to thank everyone for making it all possible.

As a passenger on your Silver King I would like to express my admiration of such a wonderful trip. Your staff worked hard and did a superb trip. Full marks. Also the ultra warm welcome at Marylebone by the greeter from the S.V.R. was a delightful touch.

Hi I just wanted to say thank you for such a lovely day my husband and I had yesterday 10th October on our trip to Norwich. Apart from being lucky with the weather the trip was, as usual, most enjoyable especially as we were steam hauled. The catering was its usual excellence and the staff great.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Saturday’s trip, 13 Sept from Waterloo to Salisbury with Braunton, excellent Running along the Main line outbound all the way to Salisbury and on parts on the return journey too. The timings were very civilized too. If only all rail tour trips could be like that. Hopefully you can repeat that trip again next year, maybe going on the direct fast main line in both directions? Looking forward to next weeks trip to the Isle of Wight with you.

Having been on consecutive Sat. trips to The Isle of Wight and to Beamish I felt I must actually take the time to say how much we enjoyed both outings. So much work goes into making everything flow smoothly. As always the attending staff were great in their different capacities and still smiling at the end of long days. Excellent value and itineraries. Loved the trip around Portsmouth harbour and the I.O.W. steam train/museum was superb. Big THANK YOU to all concerned.
